fiber high speed internet
Fiber High Speed Internet will soon be available to 478 homeowners in Woodlands County in partnership with Whitcourt Communications, based on eligibility as determined by the Alberta Provincial Government and the Canadian Federal Government as a part of the Universal Broadband Fund (UBF).
The UBF aims to bridge the digital divide by funding infrastructure that provides reliable, high-speed internet in underserved areas across Canada and more specifically to Whitecourt Communications in Woodlands County.
Weather permitting, the construction team will start digging trenches so fiber optic internet will be available to homeowners who would have previously had to rely on other, less desirable internet alternatives.
Fiber internet is the fastest, most reliable option for:
– video on demand services
– video gaming
– working from home
– telehealth and aging in place
– SMART home technology
– streaming on multiple devices at once
– and more
